Gisele Trottier

Gisele Trottier is a registered psychologist, trained death doula, parent, and ever-evolving human being. Rooted in an insatiable curiosity that began in childhood, her journey has taken her through roles in teaching and school counselling before deepening into a contemplative psychology and end-of-life practice. She is nourished by time in nature, movement, yoga, adventure, books, warm fires, coffee, tea, and shared meals with loved ones.

Counselling Psychology

Gisele brings a contemplative lens to her work with adults, couples, and children. She believes life is most fully lived when we allow space for reflection across all experiences—the joyful, the painful, and the messy. As a registered psychologist regulated by the College of Alberta Psychologists, she adheres to the Canadian Code of Ethics for Psychologists. Confidentiality is central to her practice, with exceptions only in situations where legal or ethical obligations require disclosure. Any file requests are handled with transparency and client consent, ensuring only necessary information is shared.

End-of-Life Doula

In her role as a death doula, Gisele offers non-medical support to individuals and families navigating the end of life. Drawing on contemplative approaches from spiritual and existential traditions, her work is rooted in presence, deep listening, and compassion. For Gisele, engaging with death—whether through personal reflection, conversation, or companionship—infuses her life and work with a profound sense of meaning. She aims to create space for open, grounded conversations around dying, helping to reduce fear and stigma. With gentleness and care, she brings lightness, peace, and thoughtful support to those preparing for or facing the end of life.
